Human heritage, lots of baroque and remnants of days gone by
Speyer has many advantages. One of them is that most of the sights are so close together that you can easily discover everything on foot. Our City Shuttle, bus route No.561, connects the train station and the central parking lot on the fairground (Festplatz) every 10 minutes during the day and runs right past the cathedral, through Maximilianstraße and under the Altpörtel. You can't get any closer.
Here we introduce you to our most important monuments and the most important churches in the city besides the cathedral. But we also draw your attention to fountains, art in public spaces and places and retreats that otherwise tend to remain under the radar.
