Free insight into Palatinate history

The Archaeological Showcase offers insights into the work of the Directorate of State Archaeology of the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage (GDKE). Here you can get direct and vivid first-hand information about the exciting work of the State Archaeology Department. Regularly changing exhibitions focus on the latest research and current excavations in the Palatinate. As part of scientific lectures and other events, you can meet the archaeological experts in person and learn exciting stories and background information about the work to protect the archaeological cultural heritage in the Palatinate.  The ‘Archaeological Showcase’, which opened in 2006, is an important showcase and communication platform for archaeology in the Palatinate.
