The Palatinate is also something special on a plate!

Well, ‘stuffed pig´s stomach‘ doesn't sound equally tempting to everyone. This also applies to ‘Saumagen’ in the German original. But when asked about ‘the‘ speciality of the region, no one can get past Saumagen. Generally speaking, the original Palatinate cuisine tends to be on the hearty side.

But not only that, because the RheinPfalz fruit and vegetable garden begins right on the outskirts of Speyer. The unique climate makes it possible for exotic fruits to thrive here almost as a matter of course. The asparagus season from April to June is like a 5th season in the Palatinate and the treasures of the nearby German Wine Route need no further promotion. The Palatinate Forest also contributes to the diversity of regional menus in autumn with its chestnuts (‘Keschde’ in Palatinate).
